What this site collects

TurbinePayback has no accounts, sign-up forms or newsletter, and it does not ask for personal information to show you a county. The county search runs in your browser. The hosting provider, Firebase Hosting (Google), automatically records standard request logs such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, which are used for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies and advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and use cookies or similar technologies for the same purpose.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and out of some other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from partner sites. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; ads will still appear, but they will be less relevant.

Sharing your details

TurbinePayback does not currently collect contact details or pass them to anyone. If a form to request installer quotes is ever added, this section will name who receives what you submit, and the form itself will ask for your consent before anything is sent.

Data sources are not data about you

Wind figures come from NASA and power prices from the US Energy Information Administration, both public agencies. No personal data is exchanged with them. TurbinePayback does not sell personal information.

Your rights and choices

Laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in other states and in Canada give you rights over personal information, including to know what is held, to have it deleted and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. For anything TurbinePayback itself holds, which is limited to the hosting logs above, email hello@turbinepayback.com. For advertising data collected through Google's cookies, use the Ads Settings link above.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
