What this site is
TurbinePayback estimates what a small wind turbine would produce and save in each US county, from public NASA and EIA data and a documented model. It is informational only. It is not a substitute for a site assessment or a quote from an installer, who will measure the wind at your actual tower location.
No warranty on the figures
A county-centre wind reading cannot see your hill, your trees or your neighbour's barn, and a few metres of height or a nearby obstruction changes a turbine's output a great deal. Prices are state averages, not your utility's tariff, and equipment costs move. Nothing here is guaranteed to match what you would actually make or pay, and no result should be the only basis for a purchase.

Nothing on this site is engineering, financial, tax or legal advice. Towers, foundations and grid connections need a qualified installer, local permits and your utility's approval.
